The Mark 37C torpedo is an upgraded version of the USN Mk-37 torpedo, with Otto fuel and wire guidance, and is a significant improvement on the original torpedo. Exclusively used by export partners starting in the mid 1970s, the Mk-37C (NT-37C) includes improved propulsion for 150% higher speed, and nearly twice as much range, at the cost of being a slightly noisier torpedo.
