El Harpoon es un arma antibuque estadounidense de tipo standoff utilizada ampliamente en toda la OTAN. El arma posee un buscador de Radar activo que se activa después de seguir una ruta preprogramada. La variante UGM-84B está fabricada específicamente para la Royal Navy, siendo la versión lanzada desde submarino. A diferencia del anterior UGM-84A, no realiza una maniobra terminal de ascenso (pop-up), sino que tiene una fase de vuelo a ras de mar para atacar los buques con mayor eficacia.
