Description
The Han-class (Type 091) class attack submarine is the first Chinese nuclear-powered class of submarines, and was a revolutionary improvement over older Soviet-derived diesel-electric submarine designs. While these submarines are characteristically noisy compared to other submarines of the era, they do possess relatively modern torpedo armament and sensors, and include an advanced ESM mast for intelligence gathering purposes.
