Description
Designed as a replacement for the earlier propeller-driven C-124 and C-133, the C-141 is an American strategic airlifter that was capable of carrying over 30,000kg of cargo, or up to 120 paratroopers. It saw extensive service throughout the Cold War, debuting in Vietnam and finally being retired in 2006. The C-141B is an improved lengthened version, designed to increase the payload volume over the C-141A.
