Description
The PT-76 is a Soviet amphibious light tank, designed primarily as a reconnaisance vehicle with an amphibious assault capability. The PT-76 has a flat, boat shaped hull and is propelled by two hydrojets in water, allowing it to reach amphibious speeds of 10km/h. The chassis of the PT-76 would later be used as the basis for the BTR-50, ZSU-23, ASU-85, and SA-6.
