Description
The Delta is a refinement of the basic Yankee design, and has formed the bulk of the Soviet at-sea missile deterrent since its inception. The Delta III has been enlarged to fire a larger, longer-ranged missile, and features rafted machinery for much improved quieting, although it is still noisier than its western counterparts.
