Description
These boats are further improved variants of the Project 671 design, and for the first time incorporate a passive towed array integrated into an advanced sonar suite. They also feature improved quieting and the entire class are fitted with 650mm tubes to fire the 65-76 heavyweight torpedo and the SS-N-16 ASW standoff missile.
