Description
The "Badger" is an early jet powered strategic bomber used widely by the Soviet Union. The aircraft provides a significant bomb-load and range to Soviet Frontal Aviation, with the most powerful weapons consisting of its contribution to the Soviet Nuclear Deterrent, and the massive FAB9000 conventional bomb. The Tu-16K could carry AS-1 missiles over a combat radius of 1,800 km. These very large weapons were intended for use primarily against US Navy aircraft carriers and other large surface ships.
