The FAB-1500 is a Soviet-designed 9000 kg (20, 000 lb) 'general purpose' air-dropped bomb with a high-explosive warhead primarily used by the Soviet Union and its allies. This is the 9000kg model in a family of large high-explosive bombs, and is one of the largest conventional bombs ever used in combat, with a focus on obliterating hardened targets.
